Milestone 1 Delayed: Team Announces The Obvious

To all of our loyal supporters we are sure this comes as no surprise, but the first Milestone test has been delayed. At this point in time Cairo is not where we want it to be and in the interest of making the most of our first test, have pushed back the alpha. At this point we cannot make a guess about a release, but we are working diligently to get Cairo out.

I know what you all must be thinking: will we ever see Cairo? Is Cairo worth the wait? Whole-heartily: YES! Vaporware we are not. The whole team is disappointed that we needed to pull an Apple and delay what we know you are all waiting patiently for,  but we echo the sentiments of many forum members who would rather have a stable, feature rich milestone instead of, well, the opposite.

I know many of you are also confused by our lack of information disclosure, but that’s how we must roll until we can realistically divulge information without the threat of imitators. As always, we appreciate your support and welcome any suggestions to help make the time go by faster.  (Perhaps a forum contest and the winner gets a custom title?) Just throwing that out there.

-Best,

For reference, we are requiring a Windows Vista environment and a confirmation email within 5 days to preserve your spot.

Where’s The Taskbar?

When our latest Milestone 1 UI was revealed, we had many of you asking, “Where’s the taskbar?” Well, we are here to tell you that we are working on it as we speak. The team wants to make sure it’s a functional, productive, and customizable tool that lends itself to a variety of tasks and workspaces. While it has not yet been finalized, we have a small preview for you to ponder. Enjoy.

Milestones, Copyrights, and Websites OH MY!

Let’s get down to business.

Milestone Information

We are beginning the final preparations for the M1 release. Selected testers will be receiving a confirmation email soon and must reply within 5 days with the appropriate information or they will be replaced.

Copyrights

We are working on protecting our intellectual property, both now and in the future. Enough said.

The Cairo Website

Once the first Milestone is out, we will begin revitalizing the website. What does this mean? Admittedly, we get a little lazy at times, so to commemorate our first of many achievements, we will be including an FAQ page, updating our features page, and performing visual tweaks on the homepage and throughout the site.

**This includes the addition of our donator’s only forum and milestone forum.**

Secrets are fun…
